It is so important to spend quality time early in the morning with God, a morning watch for lack of a better term. We must go into our closet each day as Jesus said, and shut the door, and to wait upon the Lord there until we sense His presence to lift us up and empower us to do His will all day long.
In that little insignificant time the world would call it, the Holy Spirit sets our rudder if we truly are seeking the Lord.
He empowers us a fresh from heaven with the life of the Holy Spirit knowing He is leading and guiding us, but more, He is giving us the tongue of the learned that we may speak a word in season to those that are weary. He awakens me morning by morning (He Pricks my ear or awakens my ears) to hear as the learned. Isaiah 50:4
In our morning watch He speaks to us and reveals His will to us and we
become as one who has received his instructions. We don't have to be
aware of those instructions being given to us verbally all the time. He
may show you that day what he desires, but He may not.
He just wants us to simply trust Him knowing your steps are now ordered by the Lord. He orders them line upon line and precept upon precept. If we are going to live a life of absolute dependence upon God and total obedience to His will we must spend that morning watch with him.
We must learn that in that time alone with God, the Holy Spirit will come to teach us this and work in it in us, and he starts by changing our life habit to arise in the morning, first watch, and give ourselves daily to God as we pray. Our Father who are in heaven hollowed be thy name.
Every day we cry Let your Kingdom come, let your will be done on Earth (in me) as it is heaven and today give us the "daily bread" we need to do it. That is what God gives to us in our morning watch, a desire, a hunger for more of Him, to know Him, love Him and then He empowers throughout the day to do his will.
Ask the Lord to quicken this word to you and that He would today restore your desire to get up early morning by morning to have you ears awakened, trained, to hear his voice and do his will.
If our daily life is to be full of God, how much more than our morning watch, the hour that we give to God or more where the life of the day ahead we can get God's seal of approval on it. Let us give ourselves to seeking the Lord fully by starting each day in His presence seeking His power to live a life of complete obedience to God and His will.
