Tragedy in Tucson: We need your help

Dear Beloved of the Lord,

As you have probably heard by now, tragedy has it our home city of Tucson. On Saturday morning a young man 22 year old went to Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford's Congress on your Corner event. This event was for the Congresswoman to meet her constituents to hear the concerns they have for our nation, State and City of Tucson.

At about 10:10 am this young man opened fire and killed 6 people and wounded 14 more. This happened in front of a Safeway Supermarket on Ina and Oracle Rd. This event has shocked and shaken our city in a profound way. We have lost 6 citizens of our community, the Congresswoman was shot in the head and is in critical condition and 13 more were injured.

I know this Supermarket well, since I bank there regularly. I had thought about doing my banking Tuesday night to do it on Saturday Morning but decided against it since I had to have my car checked. By the Grace of God, for some reason I was kept from going there that day.

Our hearts are broken for the lost of lives, for our Congresswoman and for all the families that are suffering today. We would ask each one of you to join us to pray for the families of all those involved and for city to heal.

Would you consider joining us from 10 am to Noon Monday through Friday for a prayer vigil for the families and victims and our city. If you would please send me an email at henry@flameoffire2007.org to let me know you will join us, and I will send you an email to let you know what needs to be prayed for. We also will be having some evening prayer as well. If possible we will live stream it on our website for you to join us if you can. I will let you know if that is possible.

We are also trying to set up a fund for in the name of the little 9 year old Christina Green, and perhaps a  yearly scholarship fund for a student at one of the local Christian School as well.

All the families including that our Congresswomen and her family, and our city need your prayers. Congresswoman Gifford's and her staff have always been the most courteous with us in our dealings with her office. They tried to help us on several occasions help us get Ministers from Africa to be able to travel to our city always with the utmost care and professionalism.

Beloved, pray for nation diligently and start by praying for the church in our nation that needs to amends their ways and priorities to meet God's priorities. We the church have been a sleep or filled with sin and compromise to truly be a light in the midst of darkness. I am not trying to be critical, but our light is hid under a bushel. The world doesn't see much difference in our lives from theirs.

We need to reflect on our spiritual condition as well during this time. We ministers have been to isolated, to self centered, self serving, worrying to much about our own vision and ministries with a token effort in the true unity the Holy Spirit will provide. Beloved, we must change our ways.

I encourage you dear readers, that praying for America to change starts with the church realizing it's need to repent of the sin in the house. Revelation chapters 2 and 3 are a call for the church to repent before the Lord releases His end time plan. We must stop saying we have no sin in us or in the camp. We do! We are divided, full of pride, sin and in many cases lost our first love. We have tolerated the Spirit of Jezebel in our midst. We have a reputation of being alive, but are dead or worse luke warm ready to be spewed out of the mouth of God.

America can change only when we change. Only when we repent of our sins to God and chose to live Holy before Him. May God send the Spirit of Tears and Repentance to His church, His leaders and may we heed the call of 2nd Chronicles 7:14. If MY PEOPLE called by Name, would humble themselves, seek MY FACE, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, I would hear from heaven, forgive their sins, AND HEAL THEIR LAND!"

Beloved Reader, nothing else will change America. More signs and wonders won't do it. More power to preach won't do it alone, but the world will know we are His disciples by the love we have one for another. The true FIRE OF GOD'S LOVE must return to our lives so we can BE HOLY, AS HE IS HOLY!

Take this time to reflect on your own walk with God. Are people coming up to you and saying "What do you have that I don't have?" Can they see the love of God in your eyes, your speech, your actions, your touch? Or do they see dead religion that says, "Praise the Lord, and Amen" but is void of it's power.

I pray you will join us this week in prayer for the families, the victims, the Congresswoman, our city and for the church in America to repent and get back to God.
