In John chapter 3: 19 Jesus says, "And this is the test by which men are judged: the light has come into the world and men have more love for the dark than for the light, because their acts are evil." This is quite a statement of truth for us to consider. Can we be truly honest with God? Is our Christianity something we do or a life that flows out of us of Christ?
So often we look for God to do the "big" things in our lives all the while God has been looking at the very small ordinary things of our daily lives. This is the where the real test of our Christianity is. 1st Corinthians 13 tells us that we can have faith to move mountains, give our bodies to be burned, sell all we have and give it to the poor, but with out LOVE, or God's love in us we are a useless nobody and a clanging bell.
In chapter 3 of the book of Revelation, Jesus is standing on the outside of the church, trying to get in by knocking on the hearts of believer. This happens right after he says, "you say you are rich and in NEED OF NOTHING, but I say you are POOR, BLIND, PITIABLE AND NAKED!" Have you wondered how this end-time people could be so far off the mark in their estimation of their walk in the Holy Spirit?
The bible tells us to have a sober estimation of ourselves, but do we? Are we believing that we are much more further along the walk of maturity than we really are? The Amplified bible speaks of the life of Pharisee is marked by unrest and violent agitation. Jesus warned us of the leaven of the Pharisees in Luke chapter 12. Do we really love the Light (of Truth) as He is in the light, or do we run for the covers when the Holy Spirit tries to show us our real state? The choise is ours, but the choice will be eternal and prove our destiny.
